Man Stabs Three People in China, Including Japanese Mother and Child

A man attacked three people on Monday in front of a school bus at a bus stop in Suzhou, Jiangsu province, China. The victims included a Japanese woman and her child, as well as a Chinese school bus attendant. The Japanese consulate in Shanghai reported that the mother and child were taken to the hospital but did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

The attacker, described as a 52-year-old unemployed man, was arrested at the scene. A Chinese national who tried to stop the attack was also injured and is in critical condition. The police stated that the investigation is ongoing and that the criminal behavior will be severely punished according to the law.

This incident marks the second attack on foreigners in China this month. Earlier, a Chinese man assaulted four US college lecturers in Jilin, where a Chinese visitor who tried to intervene was also stabbed.
