Man Arrested with 13 kg of Ganja in Agartala
On Monday, police arrested a 20-year-old man named Ratan Kumar at the Agartala Railway Station for possessing 13 kg of dry ganja. The drugs were hidden inside a trolley bag near the parcel office. Ratan Kumar is a resident of Munger district in Bihar.
The police have registered a case against him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. They are investigating further to find the source of the drugs and any connections to larger trafficking networks. The police have assured that strict actions will be taken against those involved in drug trafficking in the region.
Another Arrest in Human Trafficking Case
In a separate incident, a Bangladeshi woman named Khadija Begum was arrested for her alleged involvement in human trafficking. She was apprehended in West Tripura’s Charipara area by the Government Railway Police (GRP) in a joint operation with Border Security Force (BSF) Unit 42 and Amtali Police Station.
