Man Arrested for Blackmailing BHEL Manager in Bhopal
A man named Shashank Verma was arrested in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, for allegedly blackmailing a Deputy General Manager (DGM) at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and extorting Rs 2.5 lakh from him.

According to the police, the victim, who works as a DGM at BHEL, reported that Shashank Verma, a resident under Bagsewaniya police station limits, filmed an obscene video of him and used it to blackmail him. The victim had already paid Rs 2.5 lakh to the blackmailers and was being asked for an additional Rs 1.5-2 lakh.

Govindpura Police Station in-charge Awadhesh Singh Tomar stated that a case was registered against four individuals under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyay Sahita (BNS). The police have arrested Shashank Verma and are questioning him. Further legal action will be taken based on the investigation.
