Mallikarjun Kharge Criticizes PM Modi and BJP Over Allegations and Governance

In Kalaburagi, Karnataka, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge strongly refuted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s claim that Congress is influenced by “Urban Naxals.” Kharge accused the BJP of being a party associated with terrorism, responsible for violent acts against Scheduled Castes (SCs) and tribal communities. He stated, “Progressive people are being called Urban Naxals… this is his (PM Modi’s) habit. His party (BJP) itself is a terrorist party. They engage in lynching, assault people, urinate in the mouths of Scheduled Castes members, and rape tribal people. They also support those who commit these acts, and then they blame others.”

Kharge criticized the BJP for atrocities committed in regions where they govern, particularly against SCs and tribals. He emphasized that the BJP spreads hatred and divisiveness. This statement comes amid a tense political atmosphere, with Congress countering BJP’s accusations.

Previously, PM Modi accused Congress of being controlled by “Urban Naxals” who use foreign infiltrators as “vote banks” and disrespect citizens. He claimed Congress, along with the National Conference and PDP, has historically wronged Jammu and Kashmir and is willing to do anything for appeasement.

Kharge also criticized RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for supporting a party that promotes disunity, accusing them of wanting to change the Constitution and end reservations.
