Maldives Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer Visits China for Key Meetings
Maldives Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer will embark on a four-day official visit to China from July 20 to 24. This will be his first visit to China since becoming the Foreign Minister in November 2023.
Meetings with Chinese Officials
During his visit, Zameer will meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and other senior officials. They will discuss the economic development of the Maldives and explore ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
Accompanying Delegation
Zameer will be accompanied by Maldives Finance Minister Mohamed Shafeeq, Construction and Infrastructure Minister Abdul Muththlib, and other senior government officials.
Previous Visit by Maldivian President
Earlier in January, Maldivian President Mohamed Muizzu visited China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. During this visit, key agreements were signed to enhance collaboration between the two countries.
