Maj Gen SS Kartikeya Leads Inspiring Meeting at Sainik School Imphal
On July 16, 2024, the Local Board of Administration (LBA) meeting was held at Sainik School Imphal in Manipur. The meeting was chaired by Maj Gen SS Kartikeya, SM, General Officer Commanding, Red Shield Division of the Indian Army based at Leimakhong. He is also the chairman of LBA, Sainik School Imphal.
Priya Kartikeya, Chairperson of the Family Welfare Organisation, Red Shield Division, graced the occasion with her presence. Officiating Principal Lt Col SK Singh presented a comprehensive brief on the school’s recent achievements and infrastructure development, expressing gratitude for the invaluable support from the LBA Chairman and the Army.
Maj Gen SS Kartikeya addressed over 500 cadets, including 39 girl cadets, at the Vikram Batra Auditorium. He shared insights about the Indian Army’s history and role in national security, as well as his own experiences serving across the country. He also honored outstanding teachers and administrative staff for their dedication to nurturing young minds.
Priya Kartikeya, an experienced educationist, visited the Girls’ Hostel and interacted with the girl cadets and teachers, emphasizing the importance of career development for women. She also planted a tree at the Sainik Foundation School to promote environmental awareness.
The staff of Sainik School Imphal expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Maj Gen SS Kartikeya and Priya Kartikeya for their guidance, support, and encouragement in achieving the school’s goals.
