Balochistan, Pakistan – Baloch activist Mahrang Baloch has raised concerns about the worsening situation in Balochistan. She accused the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) of the Kalakot police station of forcibly disappearing three people who were engaged in wall chalking and distributing pamphlets in Lyari, Karachi, ahead of the upcoming national gathering.

State Machinery’s Fear

Mahrang Baloch stated that the state machinery is scared of the upcoming Baloch national gathering and is using its power to spread fear among the public, transporters, and Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) activists. She mentioned that several friends and their family members were illegally arrested in Quetta.

Disappearance of Activists

According to Mahrang Baloch, the DySP of Kalakot police station claimed that intelligence agencies took three young men who were engaged in wall chalking and distributing pamphlets in Lyari, Karachi. She emphasized that the Baloch people will continue their peaceful resistance against the exploitation of their natural resources and the Baloch genocide.

Baloch Yakjehti Committee’s Statement

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) named the three people who were forcibly disappeared: Shahdad Baloch, Saddam Baloch, and Basit Baloch. They stated that these youths were later handed over to intelligence agencies. Additionally, another BYC worker, Abdul Rahman Shahmir Baloch, was picked up from his house.

Call for Solidarity

Earlier, Mahrang Baloch called on the Baloch community to unite and demonstrate their solidarity at the upcoming Baloch Raji Muchi (Baloch National Gathering) scheduled for July 28 in Gwadar. She highlighted the severe hardships faced by thousands of Baloch youth and elders in Pakistani military detention, emphasizing the significance of the gathering as an expression of Balochism and human suffering.
