Mahrang Baloch and BYC Demand Justice for Protestors in Gwadar
Gwadar, Pakistan – On August 4, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) presented seven demands to the Pakistani government, urging an end to violence against protestors. Mahrang Baloch, the central organiser of BYC, held a press conference to highlight these demands.
Key Demands
The protestors demand the release of those arrested, registration of FIRs against officers who fired on protestors, and assurance of no further crackdowns. They also call for the registration of an FIR against the Corps Commander involved in firing incidents in various regions, including Mastung and Gwadar.
BYC insists that the Home Department must notify that no further state violence will occur. They demand the Chief Minister and his cabinet acknowledge responsibility for the damages and condemn the loss of life and property.

Other demands include the immediate release of participants in the Baloch National Gathering, lifting of curfews, restoration of water and internet services, and compensation for financial damages caused by state forces.
