Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis Announces Major Investments

The Maharashtra government, led by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, has signed three important agreements for pumped storage projects (PSP). Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that these projects will generate 15,000 megawatts of electricity, create 18,000 jobs, and involve an investment of Rs 82,000 crores.

Fadnavis also mentioned that the agreements aim to produce 56,000 megawatts of clean energy through PSP, with a total investment of Rs 2.93 lakhs and 90,000 new jobs. He highlighted the importance of clean energy, stating that by 2030, 50% of the energy used in Maharashtra should be clean energy.

Additionally, three different types of agreements were signed, including floating solar, wind energy, and green hydrogen. These agreements will generate 5,500 megawatts of electricity, create 18,000 jobs, and involve an investment of Rs 47,000 crores.
