Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Sunday. Fadnavis shared on social media, ‘Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s blessings have always been and will always be with Maharashtra. Every time I meet him, I get new energy and his guidance. Today I got the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi with my family. My wife, Amrita and daughter, Divya, were with me. Fadnavis Defends Agniveer Scheme
Earlier, Fadnavis criticized the opposition for spreading misinformation about the ‘Agniveer Scheme’. He stated, ‘Under the Agniveer scheme, the government has successfully inducted young blood into the armed forces. If the average age of our Army is higher than that of other armies around the world, we may face problems during war. Keeping this in mind, the Agnipath scheme was initiated.’
Fadnavis emphasized that Agniveers should be respected and provided with all necessary facilities to ensure they do not face any issues in the future. He reiterated, ‘All these provisions are included in the scheme, but the opposition deliberately spreads confusion.’
He also referenced Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on Kargil Vijay Diwas, criticizing the opposition for questioning the Agnipath Scheme. ‘Prime Minister Modi commented on the opposition’s actions, which are, in a way, jeopardising national security,’ Fadnavis said.
