Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met the parents of two engineers who died in a tragic car crash in Pune. He assured them that the guilty would be punished and announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for each family.

Shinde directed the police to take strict actions against illegal pubs and drug peddlers in Pune. He also emphasized the need to bulldoze structures that violate building rules.

The crash, which occurred on May 19, involved a drunk 17-year-old driver. The investigation revealed attempts by the driver’s family to hide evidence. The father of the accused was granted bail, while the grandfather remains in custody.

Shinde expressed his condolences and promised that the case would be fast-tracked to ensure justice for the victims’ families.
