Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Asalpha village in Ghatkopar West to inspect a landslide-prone area. He mentioned that sophisticated work has been done to prevent future accidents. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is installing safety nets to protect residents during the monsoon season.
Crackdown on Illegal Pubs
On Tuesday, Eknath Shinde instructed the police to take strict action against illegal pubs and demolish structures violating building rules. This decision came after a viral video showed minors consuming drugs in a bar in Pune. The Pune Police raided and sealed the bar, suspending four police officials for negligence and arresting eight people involved.
