Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Celebrates Mahayuti’s Big Win in Legislative Council Polls

Mumbai, Maharashtra – Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his joy after the Mahayuti alliance won the Legislative Council elections. Shinde said the ruling alliance did their ‘best batting’ and took the opposition’s ‘wicket’. He emphasized their focused approach and confidence, which led to their victory.

Shinde, a leader of Shiv Sena, called the victory of their nine candidates a ‘trailer’ and aimed to break the ‘fake narrative’ set by the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) during the Lok Sabha polls. He thanked all MLAs, including those from the opposition, for their support.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also thanked the MLAs for their confidence in Mahayuti and criticized the opposition, noting that even some MVA MLAs cross-voted for them. Fadnavis expressed confidence that this winning streak would continue in the upcoming Assembly polls.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar thanked the five MLAs who supported Mahayuti and hoped for similar success in the Vidhan Sabha elections. He highlighted the collective effort and strategy by Mahayuti leaders.

BJP President JP Nadda congratulated the Mahayuti alliance on their victory, expressing confidence in their contribution to nation-building under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance.

However, Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole criticized the ruling government, stating that people are upset over issues like inflation and lack of support for the poor and farmers.

In the Legislative Council election, all nine Mahayuti candidates won comfortably. The results demonstrated the unity among Shiv Sena MLAs and their confidence in Shinde’s leadership. The BJP, NCP, and Shiv Sena each fielded candidates who secured significant votes, showcasing Mahayuti’s dominance.

The election results were seen as a semi-final ahead of the state assembly elections, with Mahayuti’s success boosting their confidence for the upcoming polls.
