Maharashtra and NSDC International Sign MoU for Skill Training in Pune

The Maharashtra government and NSDC International Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up a center for skill-based certificate courses in Pune. The agreement was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and aims to provide employment opportunities to the youth of the state, both domestically and internationally.

The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) Maharashtra announced the signing on its official X handle, stating, “An MoU was signed between the state government and NSDC International Limited in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for setting up a center for skill-based certificate courses at Pune. This MoU will benefit the youth of the state to get employment opportunities in the country and abroad.”

The training center will be located at the Government Distance Education Tantra Niketan Sanstha in Pune. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Higher and Chief Executive Officer of NSDC International Limited Vedmani Tiwari, NSDC International Advisor Sandeep Kaura, Vice President Nitin Kapoor, and other concerned officers were present at the signing.

NSDC International Limited conducts skill-based courses in line with the employment opportunities announced by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of the Central Government. The company will provide training according to the skill requirements of manpower in different countries and offer job opportunities abroad to the students.

Additionally, the CMO Maharashtra announced that approval was given for seven large and ultra-large projects with an investment of Rs 81,000 crore in the state. The projects are expected to create about 20,000 jobs. The investment will be made in areas including Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Konkan. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Industries Minister Uday Samant, Chief Secretary Sujata Saunik, and others were present at the meeting.
