Mahakaleshwar Temple’s Laddu Prasad Passes Food Safety Tests

In Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, the Laddu Prasad from the Mahakaleshwar Temple has successfully passed 13 food safety tests, bringing joy to devotees. Sanjay Gupta, the Ujjain Divisional Commissioner, shared that the tests were conducted by recognized laboratories of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). The prasad is made from four main ingredients: pure ghee, gram flour, rava, and sugar, with pure ghee being the most costly. Each day, 40 metric tonnes of ghee, produced by the Ujjain Milk Union, a state government cooperative, are used. Gupta expressed happiness over the results, which have restored faith among devotees. He also suggested that the Tirupati Devasthan consider using Sanchi Ghee from the Ujjain Milk Union. Gupta credited the Management Committee of the Ujjain Mahakaleshwar Temple for maintaining the prasad’s quality.
