The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) General Secretary, Bajrang Lal Bagda, has announced the schedule for the upcoming Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. The event will feature a series of spiritual gatherings, including a Central Guidance Board Meeting on January 24, a Sadhvi Conference on January 25, a Saint Conference on January 25-26, and a Youth Saint Conference on January 27, 2025. These events will take place at Rishi Bhardwaj Ashram, located in the Kumbh Mela Area.
Bajrang Lal Bagda stated that the Maha Kumbh will see the congregation of numerous saints from the Sanatan Hindu tradition worldwide. They will engage in discussions to guide society and address challenges facing the Sanatan. The Maha Kumbh, held every 12 years, is expected to attract a large number of devotees to Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26.
Preparations for the event are underway, with the district administration focusing on safety measures, particularly crowd management and fire prevention. Pilgrims traditionally visit the Sangam, the meeting point of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the now-extinct Saraswati rivers, to take a holy dip believed to cleanse sins and offer liberation.
The Mahakumbh Mela is anticipated to welcome over 450 million visitors, making it a significant event for India.
