Madhya Pradesh’s Biggest Ever Budget

Minister Krishna Gaur and Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Praise Historic Budget

Madhya Pradesh Minister Krishna Gaur hailed the state budget as the ‘biggest ever budget.’ She expressed happiness over the gender budget allocated to women, aiming to empower them further.

On Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented a budget of Rs 3.65 lakh crores for the fiscal year 2024-25. This amount is 16% more than the previous year’s budget of Rs 3.14 lakh crores.

The budget aims to double in size over the next five years, focusing on increasing capital investment, expanding road, irrigation, and electricity facilities, improving health services, attracting investment for job creation, and ensuring good governance.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also praised the budget, stating that it broke all records. He highlighted that no new taxes were imposed and that the needs of all departments were met. The budget’s theme is ‘Viksit Madhya Pradesh, Viksit Bharat,’ with a goal to significantly contribute to the GDP.

Yadav emphasized that the budget takes care of all sections of society, including youth, poor, women, and farmers. The state government plans to promote IT and encourage youth to pursue Indian Administrative Service and other government services.
