Madhya Pradesh High Court Grants Bail with Unique Conditions

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has granted bail to Faizal, a resident of Bhopal, who was accused of chanting slogans against India. The court imposed a unique condition for his bail, requiring him to visit the Misrod Police Station twice a month and salute the Indian national flag 21 times while chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ each time.

Details of the Case

Faizal was arrested on May 17 under IPC section 153 B for allegedly shouting ‘Pakistan Jindabad, Hindustan Murdabad’. His lawyer argued that Faizal was falsely implicated, although a video showed him chanting the slogans. Despite opposition from the prosecution, which highlighted Faizal’s criminal history with 14 cases, the court decided to grant bail with strict conditions.

Bail Conditions

Justice Dinesh Kumar Paliwal ordered Faizal to provide a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and a surety of the same amount. He must appear at the police station every first and fourth Tuesday of the month until the trial concludes. The court emphasized that any breach of these conditions would render the bail ineffective.

Compliance and Monitoring

The court also instructed that a copy of the order be sent to the Commissioner of Police in Bhopal to ensure compliance with the conditions related to the national flag and the slogan.
