Jitu Patwari, the Congress Chief of Madhya Pradesh, has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, claiming that the state has the highest drug presence in the country. This statement followed a recent operation by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) that uncovered an illegal Mephedrone manufacturing factory in Jhabua district. The operation led to the seizure of 36 kg of Mephedrone powder and 76 kg of liquid Mephedrone, along with other materials. Four individuals, including the factory director, were arrested.

Patwari also addressed a serious incident in Khandwa district, where a molestation victim was set on fire by the son of an accused to force a compromise. He criticized Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who is also the home minister, for failing to manage the state’s law and order, suggesting he should resign. Patwari highlighted that Madhya Pradesh experiences 18 rapes daily, indicating a lack of effective governance.
