On Monday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated four new flyovers in Indore, costing a total of Rs 222.25 crore. These flyovers, located at Bhanwarkuan, Khajrana, Lavkush, and Futi Kothi (Sant Sewalal), aim to enhance traffic flow and provide seamless transportation for the city’s residents.

Futi Kothi Flyover Dedication

The Futi Kothi flyover, named in honor of Sant Sewalal Ji Maharaj, was the first to be inaugurated. It spans 610 meters in length and 24 meters in width, featuring six lanes, and was built at a cost of Rs 57.70 crore.

Other Flyovers

The Bhanwarkuan flyover measures 625 meters long and 24 meters wide, also with six lanes, costing Rs 55.77 crore. The Khajrana Square flyover is 500 meters long and 24 meters wide, costing Rs 41.19 crore. The Lavkush Square flyover, at 675 meters long and 24 meters wide, was constructed for Rs 66.88 crore. Both Khajrana and Lavkush flyovers are six lanes, with construction nearly complete.

Future Developments

CM Yadav announced plans for additional underpasses and overbridges to further address traffic issues. An investment of Rs 400 crore is planned for sewerage line work in Indore. Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya stated that an action plan will be implemented to build 20 to 25 underpasses and overbridges in the next three years.
