Gwalior Industry Conclave to Boost Regional Development

Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh is gearing up to host the next Regional Industry Conclave at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University on Wednesday. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the event and meet with key industrialists and investors.

Key Participants and Investments

Prominent industrial representatives and investors have been invited to accelerate the industrial development of the Gwalior-Chambal region. Established companies like Jamna Auto Industries, Godrej Consumer Products, Supreme & Mandlays, Sanghvi Food, and Montage Enterprises are set to expand their operations, bringing in approximately Rs 2,260 crore in capital investment and creating over 4,500 jobs.

International Participation

Trade commissioners and industrial representatives from countries including Zambia, Tongo, Costa Rica, Mexico, Netherlands, and Canada will participate in the conclave. Notable attendees include Zambia’s Secretary of Economy and Trade, Ireen Akombelwa Apuleni, and Mexico’s Economic and Commercial Affairs Officer, Ricardo Daniel.

Exhibition and Discussions

The event will feature an exhibition showcasing industrial products. CM Yadav and other distinguished guests will visit the exhibition. Round table discussions will cover topics such as the Gwalior PCB cluster, start-up opportunities, and the footwear sector. Sectoral sessions will explore tourism, MSMEs, exports, and the ‘One District-One Product’ initiative.

Pre-Event for Global Investor Summit 2025

The Regional Industry Conclaves are pre-events for the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh-Global Investor Summit-2025’, scheduled to be held in Bhopal on February 7 and 8 next year. The main objective is to establish Madhya Pradesh as a favorable investment destination and highlight its capabilities and resources.

The first conclave was held in Ujjain on March 1 and 2, followed by Jabalpur on July 20. Interactive sessions on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh have also been held outside the state as part of the pre-event activities.
