Celebrating Rani Durgavati’s 500th Birth Anniversary
Special Cabinet Meeting in Singrampur
In honor of the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will hold a cabinet meeting in Singrampur village, Damoh district, on October 5. Singrampur, historically significant as the capital of Gondwana rulers Raja Dalpat Shah and Rani Durgavati, is about 50 kilometers from Damoh and 300 kilometers from Bhopal.
Historical Significance
The village is home to the famous Singorgarh Fort and the mausoleum of King Dalpat Shah, Rani Durgavati’s husband. A large statue of Rani Durgavati is also present here. The Chief Minister and ministers will visit these historical sites during the event.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Avinash Rawat stated that the cabinet meeting will coincide with public gatherings, inviting local residents to participate. The Chief Minister will address the community, and the event is expected to boost tourism and development in the area.
Rani Durgavati’s Legacy
Rani Durgavati, daughter of Mahoba’s warrior king Maharaj Kirti Barman II Chandel, married King Dalpat Shah of Mandla. After his death, she became the ruler and led significant developments in the region. Her leadership and legacy are celebrated on this special occasion.
