Minister Uday Pratap Singh Speaks

The Madhya Pradesh government has started an investigation after the Madarsa Board canceled the affiliation of 56 madrasas in Sheopur district. This decision came after it was found that many of these schools were not operational.

School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh explained, “We have noticed that there are many places where schools are not functioning, or there are no children, or there is some kind of irregularity. This has come to light in some districts. Sheopur district is one of them. There were more than 80 madrasas running there, out of which 53-54 schools were closed for several months.”

He added, “Therefore, the aid provided by the government was stopped for seven-eight months, so the government decided to close those schools.”

All educational institutions and madrasas in Madhya Pradesh are being investigated to ensure they follow the rules. If any irregularities are found, actions will be taken. The Madhya Pradesh Madarsa Board has instructed district education officers to conduct physical inspections of madrasas in their areas. If madrasas are not operating as per the rules, their recognition will be canceled, and government aid will be discontinued.

Minister Uday Pratap Singh has directed all district education officers to conduct regular inspections to ensure students receive quality education and benefit from government schemes. He emphasized the need for fast-paced physical verification of madrasas and other educational institutions.
