Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Approves New Construction Projects and Job Posts

The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, has given the green light to several construction projects and the creation of 279 new job posts for jails across the state. The meeting took place at Mantralaya in Bhopal.

Construction Projects and Job Creation

The cabinet approved Rs 73.44 crores for residential houses in Burhanpur Jail and 60 new posts. Additionally, Rs 19.44 crores and 33 new posts were sanctioned for Sub Jail Mauganj. Other approvals include:

  • New jail under the re-densification scheme of Sub Jail Maihar and 33 new posts
  • 60 new posts in District Jail Anuppur
  • 31 new posts in Sub Jail Teonthar
  • 31 new posts in Sub Jail Badnagar
  • 31 new posts in Sub Jail Gairatganj

Educational Improvements

The cabinet also approved the introduction of Civil and Mechanical branches in Government Polytechnic College, Rewa. This will benefit students in the Rewa region by providing technical, employment-oriented education. The Fire Technology and Safety Branch will remain unchanged. A financial provision of approximately Rs 592 lakh was approved for this initiative.

Financial Management Enhancements

The Directorate of Financial Management Information System under the Finance Department will be restructured, creating 47 new posts and forming a Project Management Unit (PMU). This aims to improve the quality and accuracy of the state’s financial management.

Support for Loktantra Senanis

The cabinet also approved an increase in the amount given for the last rites of Loktantra Senanis from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000, along with state honors for their cremation.
