Lucknow Building Collapse: Eight Dead, Investigation Underway
A tragic building collapse in Lucknow’s Transport Nagar on September 8 resulted in the deaths of eight people and left 28 others injured. In response, the Lucknow Divisional Commissioner has ordered a structural audit of the collapsed building.
Investigation Team
The investigation team will include experts from the National Forensic Science University Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and engineers from the Public Works Department (PWD). The team is expected to arrive in Lucknow by Tuesday evening to begin their work.
Government Response
The Uttar Pradesh government has formed a three-member committee to investigate the incident. Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Secretary of the Home Department, has been appointed as the Chairman of this committee. The committee is tasked with thoroughly investigating the causes of the collapse and submitting a report to the government as soon as possible.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Lok Bandhu Hospital in Lucknow to meet the injured victims and gather information about their treatment from the doctors. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also visited the hospital to check on the well-being of the injured.
