New Delhi, India – On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla paid tribute to the great educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and all teachers for their invaluable contributions to society. Birla stressed that educational institutions shape the direction and future of a country. He stated, “The contributions of a teacher are not limited to just imparting education. Teachers also shape our personalities, beliefs, and skills.” He urged students to read biographies of great personalities like Mahatma Hansraj for inspiration.

Birla observed that India is on the brink of the fourth industrial revolution, with advancements in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and other modern fields becoming crucial. Birla praised Hansraj College, established in 1948, for its achievements in education and its role in promoting research and innovation. He noted that the college has created an academic environment that fosters value-based holistic education and personal development. Birla was honored with the Mahatma Hansraj Award at the event, which was also attended by Lok Sabha MP Naveen Jindal.
