Leopard Spotted in Tikli Village, Gurugram: Forest Department Takes Action
Panic spread in Tikli Village, Gurugram, when a leopard was seen on CCTV footage after attacking and killing a cow. The forest department inspected the area and confirmed the presence of two leopards.
Forest Department’s Response
A forest department official stated, “Today morning, we received information about a leopard attack in Tikli. Around 10 days ago, we also received information about the leopard attack here, after which our staff came here for a visit.”
He added, “In the CCTV footage, two leopards can be seen arriving in the area. Cows are easy prey for the leopards, and that is the reason they have become habitual to come in the area.”
Precautionary Measures
The official mentioned that they have advised the local administration to raise the walls of the cowshed or set a trap. They will set up two capturing cages to catch the leopards.
