The Rampur Forest Department successfully rescued a leopard in Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur district on Sunday. The leopard was spotted near Mohammad Ali Jauhar University, causing panic among locals. Divisional Forest Officer Rajiv Kumar said, “We received information about the leopard and set up a trap. After four days, we caught the leopard around 8:30 pm. No casualties were reported.”

This is the sixth leopard caught in Rampur. A medical examination will be conducted on the animal.

Meanwhile, in Bahraich, officials detected two killer wolves using drones. These wolves have caused eight deaths and 15 injuries. Abhishek Singh, CO Forest, Bahraich Division, said, “We detected the wolves through drones and will capture them soon.”

Four wolves have already been captured. The forest department is using drones, nets, and cages to catch the wolves and is bursting firecrackers at night to protect villagers.

Circle Officer of Mahasi, Rupendra Gaur, said, “We are continuously trying to catch the wolves and ensure no further incidents occur.”
