Leopard Found Dead in Telangana’s Amaragiri Forest

An 8-year-old leopard was discovered deceased in the Amaragiri forest area of Kolhapur, located in the Nagarkurnool district of Telangana. Forest officials have moved the leopard to a Post-Mortem Examination (PME) center and are currently waiting for the results. Chandra Shekhar, the Forest Range Officer of Kolhapur, stated, “A deceased leopard was found yesterday in the Amaragiri forest area of Kolhapur. The leopard, approximately eight years old and fully grown, is believed to have died three days ago. We have shifted to the Post-Mortem Examination (PME) center, and reports are awaited.”

Leopard Captured in Uttar Pradesh

In a separate incident, a leopard was captured in a cage set up by the forest department on Wednesday night in the Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh. This leopard is suspected of being responsible for the deaths of two children in separate incidents in the district on Saturday, according to Sanjay Bishwal, the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) of the South Forest Division in Lakhimpur Kheri.
