Pakkala emphasized the importance of Indian suppliers in UNICEF’s global mission, stating, “Indian suppliers of life-saving goods and services for children are key to UNICEF’s work for children globally.” She met with stakeholders to strengthen UNICEF’s supply partnership with India. Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF India representative, noted the potential for deeper collaboration to address children’s needs globally.

UNICEF supports the Indian government in creating sustainable supply chains, aligning with national policies and Sustainable Development Goals. This partnership aims to ensure equality, safety, and development for children while promoting environmentally friendly practices.
