A landslide in Ghansali, Uttarakhand, caused by heavy rain, buried a woman and her daughter under their collapsed home. Rescue teams recovered the woman’s body, identified as Sarita Devi, but the search for her daughter continues.

The incident was reported around 3 am, and various rescue teams, including the State Disaster Response Force, responded promptly. The SDRF team, led by Chief Constable Kuldeep Singh, initiated the rescue operation.

Heavy rains have triggered multiple landslides in Uttarakhand, blocking key highways like the Badrinath National Highway. The Uttarakhand police recently cleared debris near Gulabkoti in the Joshimath area on the Badrinath National Highway, which was blocked due to falling boulders and debris from the hillside.
