UAE and Belgium Strengthen Ties

Meeting in Brussels

On July 16, Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs of the UAE, met with Hadja Lahbib, the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, in Brussels. This meeting was held ahead of the second round of Political Consultations between the UAE and Belgium.

During the meeting, they talked about the latest developments in Gaza, focusing on the humanitarian situation. They also discussed ways to enhance economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Strengthening Relations

The meeting was co-chaired by Nusseibeh and Theodora Gentzis, President of the Board of Directors of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Both parties reviewed the growing bilateral relations and explored opportunities to strengthen ties in various fields, including economic and trade relations and collaboration in multilateral forums.

Lana Nusseibeh praised the current state of UAE-Belgium relations and emphasized the importance of building stronger ties. Mohamed Al Sahlawi, UAE Ambassador to the EU, Belgium, and Luxembourg, accompanied her in the meeting.
