New Delhi, August 6: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a supplementary charge sheet against former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav, and others in the land for job scam case. The charge sheet was submitted in the Rouse Avenue Court and includes 11 more accused and 96 documents.

Details of the Case

Special Judge Vishal Gogne has taken the charge sheet on record, and the court will review it on August 13. The ED’s Joint Director informed the court about the investigation’s status and the steps taken. Previously, the court had directed the ED to expedite the investigation and file an additional charge sheet.

Accused Individuals

Former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, her daughters Misa Bharti and Hema Yadav, and others have already been charged. Amit Katyal, who was arrested during the investigation, and two firms, A K Infosystem and A B Export, are also accused. The ED claims that these companies were involved in illegal land transactions.

Investigation Findings

The ED’s investigation revealed that several land parcels were acquired illegally by Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family in exchange for railway jobs. The current market value of these lands is over Rs. 200 crore. The ED also found that a property in New Friends Colony, Delhi, was acquired at a low value but is now worth approximately Rs. 150 crore. The property is used as a residence by Tejaswi Yadav.

Searches and Seizures

Searches conducted at various locations resulted in the recovery of unaccounted cash, foreign currency, gold, and incriminating documents. The ED has identified several benamidars, shell entities, and beneficial owners of the lands involved.

Conclusion

The ED’s investigation continues, and the court will review the charge sheet and documents on August 13. The case highlights the illegal acquisition of land by Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family in exchange for railway jobs.
