Lalu Prasad Yadav and Sons Granted Bail in Land for Job Case
On October 7, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi granted bail to Lalu Prasad Yadav, the chief of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and former Chief Minister of Bihar, along with his sons Tejashwi Yadav and Tej Pratap Yadav. They were granted bail in the land for job money laundering case upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs. 1 lakh each. Lalu’s daughter, Misa Bharti, also appeared in court. The next hearing is scheduled for October 25.

Background of the Case
The court had previously issued summons to Lalu Prasad Yadav, his sons, and other accused in the case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a supplementary charge sheet against 11 accused, with four having passed away. The court found sufficient material to proceed against Tej Pratap Yadav, who was not initially charge sheeted by the ED.

The properties, including a bungalow in Delhi, were allegedly purchased at undervalued prices using proceeds of crime.
