Lalit Rai Airlifted to Bhopal for Treatment with PM Shri Air Ambulance
A Special Armed Force (SAF) head constable, Lalit Rai, was airlifted from Jabalpur to Bhopal for better treatment on Wednesday. He was injured in a road accident in Jhinjhari, Katni, on June 7 and was initially treated at Apex Hospital in Jabalpur.
When his condition did not improve, doctors decided to transfer him to AIIMS Bhopal using the ‘PM Shri Air Ambulance’ service. The transfer was approved by Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjay Mishra, State Health Commissioner, and Collector Jabalpur Deepak Saxena.
State cabinet minister Rakesh Singh was present at Dumna Airport in Jabalpur to oversee the transfer and assured Rai’s son of all possible government support. This is the third case of using the PM Shri Air Ambulance service in Madhya Pradesh, which provides free transportation for Ayushman cardholders and seriously injured individuals.
