Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen defeated Julien Carraggi of Belgium in the Group L men’s singles badminton match at the ongoing Paris Olympics. Lakshya won in straight sets 21-19, 21-14, with the match lasting 43 minutes at the La Chapelle Arena.

On Sunday, Lakshya’s win over Guatemala’s Kevin Cordon was deleted after Cordon withdrew from the event due to a left elbow injury. As per the BWF General Competition Regulations, the result was deleted, and Lakshya will be ranked based on his remaining matches in Group L.

In women’s doubles, India’s Tanisha Crasto and Ashwini Ponnappa were defeated by Japan’s Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida in a one-sided match, losing 11-21, 12-21 in their second Group C clash.
