24th National Para-Swimming Championship Begins in Goa

The 24th National Para-Swimming Championship started on Sunday in Goa, showcasing the incredible talent and determination of athletes from all over India. Competitors from various states gathered to demonstrate their skills and compete for prestigious titles.

Men’s Events Highlights

In the men’s events, Lakhan Singh from Rajasthan won the gold medal in the S4 100m freestyle with a time of 3:04.50. Kamalkant from Odisha and Balraj from Haryana took silver and bronze, respectively. Narhari from Odisha claimed victory in the S5 100m freestyle, followed by Lakshmarao from Andhra Pradesh and Shams Aalam from Bihar.

Chaitanya Vishwas from Maharashtra excelled in the S6 100m freestyle, winning gold. Rajendra Singh from Uttarakhand and Chaitonya from Odisha followed. Karnataka’s Tejas and Gopichand dominated the S7 category, with Tejas clocking in at 1:14.19. Shridhar from Karnataka won gold in the S8 category, while Sahil Rajaram and Amol from Karnataka shone in the S9 event. Kapil Kumar from the Services took gold in the S10 category.

Junior and Women’s Events

In the junior events, Muhammed Aasim from Kerala and Aniket Chidambar from Karnataka were standout performers. Eeshan from Karnataka and Mohit Kumar from Bihar also excelled.
