Kurukshetra Prepares for Election Results with Tight Security Measures
In Kurukshetra, Haryana, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Jogpal has announced that a strong security system is in place to protect the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the upcoming election results. The results for the 2024 elections in Haryana will be revealed on Tuesday.

A three-tier security cordon has been established, involving the Central Paramilitary Forces, Haryana Armed Police, local police, and a Duty Magistrate. The EVMs are stored in four secure rooms at Kurukshetra University, monitored continuously. Only candidates and their agents are allowed in the counting area, with strict rules prohibiting mobile phones, pens, and paper.

The single-phase polling for Haryana’s 90 Assembly constituencies concluded peacefully, with a voter turnout of 65.65%. Exit polls suggest a strong performance by the Congress, potentially winning over 50 seats, while the BJP may secure 20-28 seats. Other parties could win 10-16 seats. A majority of 46 seats is needed to form a government in the 90-member assembly.
