Hardik had a rough patch, missing the ODI World Cup 2023 due to an injury and failing to take Mumbai Indians to the knockout stage in IPL 2024. However, he shined in the T20 World Cup, scoring 144 runs with a strike rate of 151.57 and taking 11 wickets with an economy rate of 7.64 in 8 matches. His efforts helped India win their second T20 World Cup by beating South Africa by seven runs in Barbados.
