Joint Police Operation Leads to Arrests
A joint operation by the Kolkata Police, Bihar STF, and Tarapur Police led to the discovery of an illegal firearms manufacturing unit in Munger, Bihar. The raid took place on Wednesday night in the house of MD Monazir Hussain, located in Gazipur village.
Arrests and Seizures
During the raid, two individuals, MD Monazir Hussain and his brother-in-law MD Nasim, were arrested. The police uncovered a secret underground chamber in Hussain’s house, which was used to manufacture firearms. The operation resulted in the seizure of six 7mm pistol bodies, six pistol butts, and various machinery and tools used in the manufacturing process.
Disguised Operations
The firearms unit was operating under the guise of a food plate manufacturing business. This discovery marks the 14th illegal arms unit busted in Bihar and Jharkhand over the past three years. A case has been registered at Tarapur Police Station in Munger.
