King Charles Shares Hugs with New Zealand Women’s Rugby Team at Buckingham Palace

King Charles had a joyful meeting with the New Zealand women’s rugby team, the Black Ferns, at Buckingham Palace. The team, currently in the UK to play against England’s Red Roses, took a memorable selfie with the King.

It was New Zealand’s winger Ayesha Leti-I’iga who asked King Charles if he was okay with sharing hugs. The King immediately agreed, saying, “A hug? Why not?”

The Royal Family also announced that King Charles and Queen Camilla will visit Australia and Samoa from October 18 to 26. This tour will include a Royal Visit to Australia, a State Visit to Samoa, and attendance at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa. This will be King Charles’ first visit to a Realm as Monarch and his first CHOGM as Head of the Commonwealth.
