In Quetta, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, from Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), celebrated the release of 42 personnel from Attock district jail. These individuals were arrested for participating in PTI’s protest in Islamabad. Gandapur announced promotions and a one-month extra salary for the released personnel, which included firefighters, drivers, and medical technicians. Director General Rescue 1122 Muhammad Ayaz Khan expressed gratitude for the support and mentioned plans to increase allowances and retirement age. Despite the release, six personnel remain imprisoned. The protest led by Gandapur faced a crackdown by federal and Punjab police, resulting in arrests and vehicle seizures.
