Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship Kicks Off in Abu Dhabi
The Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation has announced the launch of the Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship. The first round will take place at the Mubadala Arena in Abu Dhabi from June 28 to 30.
About the Tournament
The tournament features five rounds held across various parts of the UAE throughout the year. It includes three rounds for the suit category and two rounds for the non-suit category. Participants range from children as young as 4 years old to adults over 30 years old.
Participation and Prizes
The first round has attracted 3,000 male and female players. Competitors will vie for medals and cash prizes, with the total prize value reaching 1.5 million dirhams. The final round will be held in December, where the championship title and cup will be awarded based on a comprehensive classification system.

Pedro Damasino, coach of the Palms Sports Academy, expressed excitement about their 82 participants. Haneen Al Khouri, a player from Baniyas Club, shared her optimism and confidence in competing.
