Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan Ensures Smooth Sabarimala Pilgrimage for All

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala – The Kerala government, led by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, is committed to ensuring a smooth pilgrimage experience for all devotees visiting Sabarimala, even those without online registration. This assurance was given in response to a submission by MLA V Joy in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.

Preparations for Mandala-Makaravilakku Season

In preparation for the upcoming pilgrimage season, detailed meetings were held under the Chief Minister’s leadership. These meetings included the Devaswom Minister, Travancore Devaswom Board officials, police, and district administration to plan and coordinate efforts.

Enhanced Facilities and Coordination

Efforts have been made to enhance facilities at Sannidhanam, Pampa, and base camps. Coordination has been strengthened among various departments and agencies, including the Travancore Devaswom Board, police, forest, health, and more. Ambulance services and emergency medical centers have been set up, and road maintenance and safety measures have been prioritized.

Virtual Queue System

The virtual queue system, introduced in 2011, will be further strengthened. It will include details of the paths chosen by pilgrims and allow them to select less crowded days for their visit. This system will help manage crowds and ensure security by maintaining digital records of pilgrim details.
