Kedarnath Dham Yatra Resumes with Over 1 Million Devotees After Monsoon
The Shri Kedarnath Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand has seen a surge in devotees, reaching 1.183 million as of Tuesday evening, following the end of the monsoon season. Heavy rains had disrupted the pilgrimage for nearly a month, but under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership, the route was restored swiftly.
District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar ensured the safe rescue of all pilgrims. Kedar Sabha President Rajkumar Tiwari praised the efforts to resume the journey and provide free heli services, boosting local businesses.
