The 26th Annual General Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG) will take place in Almaty, Kazakhstan from September 9 to 12. Over 150 executives and representatives from more than 40 depositories, exchanges, and clearing organizations will attend, according to the Kazakhstan Embassy.

The event is organized by the Kazakhstan Central Securities Depository (KCSD). Participating nations include the US, Europe, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Iran, Pakistan, Mongolia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, among others.

KCSD Chairman Adil Mukhamejanov stated that hosting this large-scale event will create a unique opportunity to showcase the investment potential of Kazakhstan and the Central Asian region. He added that the event will enhance Kazakhstan’s position as an investment and depository hub.

The meeting will facilitate the integration of Kazakhstan’s and Central Asia’s securities markets with international capital markets, strengthening economic and financial ties among ACG members. Panel discussions will cover topics such as economic growth, digital transformation, and improving service quality in the securities market.

The event will serve as a platform for international cooperation and experience exchange among representatives from various countries, allowing participants to discover the latest trends in the field.

Notably, the Asia-Pacific Central Securities Depository Group (ACG) is an association of central securities depositories in the Asia-Pacific region, established in 1997 to improve the efficiency of clearing and settlements. KCSD has been a member of ACG since 2007.
