Kavinder Gupta Praises PM Modi’s Development in Jammu and Kashmir Over the Last Decade

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Kavinder Gupta, praised the development work done by the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past ten years. He highlighted significant infrastructure improvements, including roads, bridges, and the Vande Bharat train. Gupta emphasized that the region has seen more progress in the last decade than in the previous 70 years, attributing this to the abrogation of Article 370 and the government’s focus on peace and development.

Key Points from the Press Conference

During a press conference at the BJP media center, Gupta stated that the infrastructure development has transformed the map of Jammu and Kashmir. He was joined by BJP Spokespersons Arun Gupta, Rajni Sethi, GL Raina, Dr. Tahir Choudhary, and media in-charge Dr. Pardeep Mahotra.

Gupta mentioned that Jammu and Kashmir had suffered for 70 years due to unrest, corruption, and dynastic politics. He asserted that the BJP will form the next government in the region and continue unprecedented development.

Infrastructure Developments

Gupta highlighted several key projects initiated by the central government, including:

• Roads, bridges, and tunnels
• Railway bridges and ring roads
• Express highways and smart cities
• The Jammu Tawi River Front
• Services like the Vande Bharat train

He noted that travel times have significantly reduced, with the journey from Jammu to Udhampur now taking one hour and to Srinagar five hours.

Focus on Peace and Development

Gupta emphasized that peace is essential for the construction, development, and prosperity of any region. He credited the Modi government for taking bold steps to free Jammu and Kashmir from terrorism, corruption, and dynastic rule, setting it on the path of development.
