England Women’s cricket team is set to face Ireland in a three-match ODI series and a two-game T20I series starting September 7. Kate Cross will step in as captain, replacing regular skipper Heather Knight and other senior players who are being rested.

This tour will see several new faces making their senior international debuts, including Hannah Baker, Georgia Davis, Charis Pavely, Ryana MacDonald-Gay, Paige Scholfield, Georgia Adams, and Seren Smale. Finch noted that Ireland Women recently won a significant series against Sri Lanka, making this tour a challenging one. He also mentioned the special moment of seeing new players make their debut, with seven potential debutants on this tour.
