During a strategic business trip to Japan, MB Patil, the Karnataka minister for large, medium industries, and infrastructure development, met with representatives of international companies to attract investments to the state.

Meeting Highlights

On June 24, Patil’s delegation focused on potential collaborations and strategic investments in Karnataka. The meeting emphasized leveraging companies’ expertise and innovation to drive economic growth.

Daiki Axis Collaboration

Patil announced a significant milestone with Daiki Axis, a company known for environmental equipment and wastewater solutions. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to set up a state-of-the-art STP and wastewater management equipment manufacturing unit in Karnataka. Land selection in Doddaballapur and Tumkur is under review.

Invitations and Discussions

Patil invited Nissin Foods to the Global Investors Meet in 2025, suggesting Bangalore as a hub for their expansion. He offered support through food parks in Dharwad and Bijapur.

He also engaged in discussions with Hitachi representatives, including Bharat Kaushal, Managing Director of Hitachi India. Hitachi showcased its long-lasting engineering products and discussed quantum computing and cybersecurity ventures.

Nissan Motor representatives focused on potential collaborations and expanding their electric vehicle initiatives in Karnataka. Patil highlighted Karnataka’s strong R&D ecosystem and commitment to sustainability, presenting opportunities for Nissan in both manufacturing and design.
