He acknowledged the work of former MLA Tukaram, who built a hospital and taluk office, and introduced Tukaram’s sister Annapoorna as the Congress candidate for the upcoming election on November 13.

Shivakumar criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly profiting during the COVID-19 pandemic and failing to support the people of Ballari. He highlighted Congress’s achievements, such as the 371J provision for Kalyana Karnataka, and expressed confidence in Congress’s return to power.

When questioned about an FIR against Kumaraswamy, Shivakumar stated he was unaware of the details. He also responded to demands for a list of works done in Channapatna, promising to provide it.
